When you start working with a new client as an online fitness coach or personal trainer, the very first thing you should create for them is a roadmap. Not a random set of workouts. Not a vague promise of results. A clear overview of where they are now, where they are going in the long term, and how you are going to help them to get there.
Joe Brighty, a leading online transformation coach and owner of Team Brightman summarised it in a recent conversation; “If, as a client, you do not know what you are doing next week, next month, or six months from now, then there is a problem. A coach without a plan does not have a strategy. They are guessing as they go.”
Joe knows a thing or two about consistently getting elite client results within online coaching and this was a conversation that highlighted some of how he gets such high level outcomes for his clients. It is not just applicable for online fitness coaching, but for personal training and any other form of health coaching where the client is looking for a long term outcome.
